Vacancy - Clerk to Trustees 

(Self-employed)

Salary 

Hourly consultancy rate: £15 per hour 

Hours of work 

As and when needed – approx. 4 meetings per academic year. Term time only.

About the Role 

We are looking to appoint an experienced Clerk to Trustees who can deliver an excellent quality of clerking to our Trustees. 

  • The appointed candidate must be able to show discretion and maintain confidentiality due to the requirements of this role. 

  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. 

  • They will need to manage their own time effectively whilst adhering to required deadlines. 

  • Applicants must have experience clerking meetings within an educational setting. 

  • The successful candidate will need to stay abreast of school governance expectations and developments in education and legislation effecting schools. 

  • We expect there to be approx. 4 meetings per year, and the Clerk will need to finalise agendas, organise the paperwork for the meetings, prepare minutes from the meetings and provide advice to the Trustees in line with statutory guidance and policy. 

  • Flexible approach to working hours will be required, but generally all our meetings will be held during term time during the normal working day. Meeting dates will usually be agreed well in advance. 

  • Meetings will be face to face and held at Portico House 

  • As looking to arrange this on a consultancy basis, Clerk must have own equipment to undertake the role.

About the Role 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our successful team, supporting pupils in the classroom environment as well as 1:1 support. 

The successful candidate will ideally have: 

  • Experience of supporting pupils

  • A caring, patient nature 

  • The ability to be flexible
